Welcome to JimSwanson.com - a site dedicated to sharing insights from my personal Bible studies and quotes I like.
The site sections are accessible through the links above. “About” shares more on who I am and my background. “Thoughts” is the main section this site was designed for and can be accessed through the excerpts at right or by using the index in the far right column. The “Stories” page contains a series of stories I wrote for our local paper. “Music” contains information and samples of songs I have written as memory aids to learning Bible verses.

Here is the exciting news you haven’t been waiting for for 2 years!
In July, 2005 I finished posting the last of 81 stories of the Jensen family, Jason and Julie, their parents and little brother Joshua. At that time I asked readers to write if you would like me to post more of these interesting and educational stories. Since then I have gotten 100’s of letters! Though none of them directly expressed an interest in more stories, or even, for that matter, seemed to deal with the stories at all, I detected coded messages to the affirmative, messages like “wouldn’t you like a replica of an expensive watch?” and “Penney’s is pleased to announce you have been awarded $500 with many strings attached!” and “you can get your Ph.D. in two weeks, including transcripts!” All of these said, indirectly, “Please post more stories!” Further, any marketer will tell you that for every letter you get, there are ten people who are just as adamant but never write. So I suspect even in response to this exciting news, I will continue to get coded encouragements by the hundreds. OK, I get the message. I can’t ignore such an overwhelming demand! To accommodate this, I will soon be posting the first of 55 chapters from the book, Six Months to Grow, the continued story of the Jensen Twins as they entered junior high. Be watching!
