The newest Mars rover is another desperate attempt to find evidence for life, thus proving evolution isn’t a hoax after all; life can begin by accident.
God has made the earth, and only the earth, to be inhabited by people. He said in Isaiah 45:18, “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; . . . he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.” When you consider the following facts, I’m sure you will have to agree.
In our area of the Midwest, in the last year the temperature has varied about 110 degrees. We are told this is a greater extreme than most of the nation (In Arizona it varies about 90 degrees through the year). The highest temperature ever recorded on earth was 136˚F in Libya, in 1922. The lowest temperature ever recorded was -129˚F in Antarctica, in 1983. This is a variation of 265 degrees. These temperatures are too extreme for people to live without protection.
Yet, if man wanted to live on the moon or another planet, he would have to take earth’s environment with him to survive. Consider this: the high temperature on the moon during the day is 215˚, and at night is -230˚ (445˚ difference). And remember, on the moon, a day or a night are each 2 weeks long. The temperature on the surface of Venus remains 900˚F and the air pressure is 100 times that of earth! That would be crushing! Oh, and its atmosphere is made of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid!
Mars holds great hope to evolutionists who want to prove life can start on its own. Yet there is no sign of water (or life) there and night temperatures reach -100˚F. On Jupiter the air is filled with poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas and the “red spot” hurricane continues to roar as it has for 300 years! Neptune drops to -325˚F, and those are summer temperatures! Fierce west winds blow nonstop at 1300 mph. This isn’t surprising since Neptune receives only .1% of the sunlight available to earth.
Need we go on? The earth and only the earth is the perfect environment for life of all kinds to thrive. The temperature is moderate and the atmosphere is perfect, 20% oxygen that people and animals need, and 80% nitrogen which plants need. Is that an accident? Is it perfect because life evolved in a way to survive in this environment? If so, the first try would doubtless have been fatal and we wouldn’t be here! Instead, it is much easier to believe God designed the earth, and then created man perfectly suited for this design. God is good!
